Summer Camp Application
Horseback Riding
Riding Instruction is a speciality program only avaliable during Summer Camp for children who have completed the 2nd grade or older. Campers can enroll for one week or
all summer. Riding time will vary with experience. There is an additional fee of $30.00 for each week riding. The campers in the horse riding program are assigned to
the riding instructor. Riding students participate in swimming, archery, and arts and crafts programs. Riding is used in lieu of all other activities. In addition to
riding lessons, children are taught grooming, tacking, horse care, and saftey. Interested campers should fill out this form:
Horseback Riding Release
Proper Attire
Campers are expected to wear play clothes and sneakers (No sandles or flip-flops) to camp each day. All clothing, towels, and swimsuits (One piece only)
and swim bags must be marked with your child's name.
Saftey and Security Issues
All activities occurr onsite. All children are signed in and out daily. Changes in pickup arrangements must be cleared by the office. Photo ID is required.
Visitors are required to sign-in in the office.
All area directors have relevant certification to thier field. Most are certified directly by the American Camping Association (ACA), and more specialized organizations.

- 4 Years Supervisory Experience in Waterfront
- 11 Years Program Supervisory Experience
- Director of Equine Activities:
- Certified in the John Lyons Techniques since 2001
- Certified thru AQHA in Horse Safety 101
- Certified thru Parelli and Cureently Working on L3
- 25 Years of Instruction and Training Experience
Happy Acres requires that all campers have an up-to-date addess with home and buisness phone numbers of all persons who are allowed to remove the child from the
premises. No child will be released to someone not on file unless written notification is given and picture identification of the person is obtained. This is for your
child's saftey. Parents are required to keep us informed of any changes regarding your child's records.
Happy Acres must have a current Student Health Exam Form, with an up-to-date imunization record, on file for each camper.
